Never Still… a short story

Here’s a link to the audio version of a short story I wrote in 2021 for the Earagail Arts Festival’s No Nations, No Borders event. In it, the protagonist is at the earliest stage of facing up to their addiction issues and has headed to Inch Wildfowl Reserve to shower their head and re-connect with a part of their self that loves something other than ‘nice stuff’.

I’ve composed and added a soundscape to the story. I made extensive use of the BBC sound effects archive for this (see here: https://sound-effects.bbcrewind.co.uk/)
