Performance and Poetry weekly workshops

Saturdays 11am-1pm, from 7th March - 25th April 2020

Following on from a successful & enriching first run of workshops, Abby will again be facilitating the weekly performance & poetry group at THE GASYARD ARTS FACTORY, DERRY.  The group will meet on SATURDAY MORNINGS (11am-1pm) for 8 weeks (from 7th March until 25th April 2020).

The workshop is FREE TO ATTEND, and it is recommended participants attend as many classes as possible, given the nature of course.

Suitable for beginners to all skill levels, whether you just want to practice speaking your poetry in front of an audience and gaining more confidence, to those of you with ambitions to create shows etc.  This is a supportive, enriching and fun workshop where participants are encouraged to get actively involved in helping each other improve and develop their work.

Creative Writing group (Wednesdays 7-9pm)

6 weeks-from 11th March - 15th April 2020

Abby facilitates the weekly open creative writing group for adults (as part of the Bluebell Arts Project's arts timetable) at:

The Gasyard Centre, Lecky Rd, Derry.

This is an informal, relaxed and friendly group.  Participants can bring whatver writing they are working on, or alternatively, for those who are not working on anything in particular but enjoy writing, Abby will bring a weekly writing prompt to get the creative vibes flowing.  Participants work at their own pace and leisure.

Reading & Righting @ Imagine Festival, Belfast

Thurs 26th March, 7.30pm, The Cube @ Crescent Arts Centre

Abby will be among the poets performing a spoken word set at this event curated by Colin Hassard as part of this year's Imagine festival in Belfast, in which poets do the poetising while mixing in some political and social commentary into those rhymes and reasons.

Thursday Performers' Workshop

Weekly, Thursdays, 5-7pm (until 9th April - excluding 26th March)

A workshop facilitated by Abby (for Bluebell Arts Project) for performers working in various areas of performance, at all skill levels.  Whether you are an actor, poet, storyteller, comedian, or anything else that involves performing publically, and are working on new material you would like to get some feedback on, workshop with the help of an experienced facilitator and a few sets of 'third-eyes', you can join us at:
